A colorful fall performance

To the Editor:

My favorite time of year — other than Christmas, of course — is finally here!

Breezy, cool days and crisp, chilly nights just seem to warm the heart. Changing colors of autumn can be seen just about everywhere one turns. Many neighborhoods have harvest foliage and decorations surrounding their homes and the aroma of apple, cinnamon and pumpkin scented candles. All the neighborhood stores are overflowing with signs of the arrival of this very welcomed transition. I consider fall not only very beautiful, but also a very creative time of year.

It’s so nice to have our windows open and not feel the constriction of the annoying air conditioner or the hot air that can sometimes be suffocating. It’s the awesome break that we all need before getting ready for the hustle and bustle of the holidays. It is a time to breathe in the fresh air and bask in the very moderate and comfortable weather while it lasts.

Although we did have a fairly tolerable summer, I will always feel that one hot day is one too many. As I am not a fan of the snow or ice, I still have to say, I cannot wait for the cold. Where are my leather jackets? I am so ready!
