Police are looking to bring two home invaders to justice for an incident in Point Breeze.

The complainant informed authorities that at 9:30 p.m. March 16, he let a female family member pick up clothing from his residence on the 2000 block of Tasker Street. After he briefly exited the home to lock the exterior door, he observed in his bedroom two men armed with knives, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said.

The duo walked toward him and demanded money, with the homeowner throwing a $20 on the table. He grabbed a piece of wood for defense, but the offenders grabbed him and punched his head and body. Ordering him to be quiet, they said failure to do so would lead them to hurt his sleeping 4-year-old son, Tolliver said. The first aggressor stayed with the victim in the front part of the abode while the second went to the back, with both fleeing through a rear door.

The complainant went to check on his descendant and noticed the second intruder had stolen $300 and his wallet from a cabinet above the bedroom closet. The resident, who sustained a cut to his head but did not seek medical treatment, described the first as black, 19 or 20 years old, 5-foot-2, 130 pounds; having a dark complexion; armed with a 6-inch knife; and wearing a dark hoodie, dark-colored pants and a black mask. He tabbed the second as black, 20 years old, 5-foot-2, 140 pounds; having a dark complexion and buggy eyes; armed with a 6-inch knife; and wearing the same sort of hoodie, pants and mask as his co-conspirator.
