Police arrested a North Philly resident for his alleged aggressive behavior at a Grays Ferry McDonald’s Sunday.

The complainant told authorities he was at the eatery, 2851 Grays Ferry Ave., at 3:45 p.m. when an unknown man approached him, used his elbow to deliver a blow to his head and tried to run away after snatching his Toshiba laptop, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The owner ran toward the man, who allegedly pushed him into a table.

The site manager detained the alleged perpetrator and retrieved the device, but the man left the establishment before police arrived, Tolliver said. Once there, authorities met with the proprietor and the complainant, who sustained bruising to his left shoulder for which he did not seek medical treatment, gathering a description of the supposed suspect that they used to arrest 33-year-old Shaun Smith on the 3200 block of Wharton Street. They charged him with simple assault, two counts of theft, robbery and recklessly endangering another person.
