Shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the report of a home shooting on the 2000 block of Reserve Drive. Once inside, they ventured to a bedroom and found a 50-year-old woman with one gunshot wound, Officer Tanya Little of Police Public Affairs said. About a half-hour later, emergency medical workers pronounced her dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the name of the female, nor have they ruled on whether the matter is a suicide or a homicide. Police recovered multiple shell casings from an automatic weapon in the residence.
