A Bella Vista eatery will need to replace a glass door after a would-be burglar destroyed it Friday.
Upon arriving at Sam’s Morning Glory, 735 S. 10th St., at 11:40 p.m., authorities heard an audible alarm activated and noticed the side door glass shattered and a brick in the building, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. They cleared the building and awaited the arrival of a key holder/business manager.
That figure noticed nothing was missing from the establishment but relayed someone had tampered with the cash register. A neighbor revealed he had heard glass break and soon saw a black man wearing dark clothing exiting the site and using a black bike to flee, with his last glimpse coming on the 700 block of Delhi Street. He added, Tolliver said, that he is in his early 30s, 6 foot and 170 pounds; having a medium build and wearing dark clothing.
