Chhaya Café, the popular East Passyunk Avenue brunch, lunch and coffee spot, is getting a late spring/early summer upgrade as chef /owner V Beuria is moving operations to the larger 1,800-square-foot space — 1,100 of which will be for dinning — at 1817 East Passyunk Ave. The seating capacity will expand from 28 (at its 1823 East Passyunk location) to 55.
Work started on the new space earlier this week. The menu is expected to remain the same, but rumor has it that there could be some fresh surprises down the road. Beuria’s current location will remain open until the new space is ready for customers.
