A bold patron ended up arrested after allegedly punching a police officer at a Stadium Complex establishment.
Authorities responded to a 12:20 a.m. call from personnel at Xfinity Live!, 1100 Pattison Ave., Sunday and attempted to escort a customer who had reportedly been involved in an altercation within the facility, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The detained female is believed to have attempted to strike the security supervisor with a closed fist as the latter talked with authorities.
An officer prevented the blow but purportedly suffered two punches from the aggressive figure, Tolliver said. Additional officers aided their attacked peer, arresting Gwyenn Gibson, a 27-year-old Marlton, N.J. resident, who received aggravated and simple assault and resisting arrest charges. Her bail was set at $10,000, which had not posted as of press time.
