A mugging victim was forced to strip down in order to hand over his clothes and possessions in Pennsport Tuesday.

A 21-year-old was headed northbound on the 1800 block of East Moyamensing Avenue at 3:02 a.m. when an unknown man asked for a cigarette, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The 21-year-old started to hand over a smoke when the offender put a gun to his head and directed him to an alley off of the 300 block of Sigel Street. There, the gunman demanded he take everything off. The victim gave him his blue Nirvana T-shirt, red and black basketball shorts, blue Nike sneakers, a silver necklace, a box of Newport cigarettes and $92. Then the thief commanded he turn away as he fled westbound on Sigel on a black spray-painted mountain bike.

The victim was not harmed, Tolliver said.

The offender was described as black, age 21 to 26, 5-foot-9, 185 pounds; having a beard, brown eyes, black hair and a scar on his left cheek; and wearing a black hoodie with a white stripe on each sleeve, black shorts, white tube socks and black Adidas sneakers.
