Two men were injured during a scuffle over a handicapped parking spot in South of South last week.

Aaher Soof, 38, of the 2500 block of Percy Street, allegedly knocked on his 24-year-old neighbor’s door and asked him to move his black BMW, which has a partially disabled tag, out of a handicapped spot to make room for his father to park, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The 24-year-old refused and the two began to dispute verbally. Soof allegedly grabbed a one-and-a-half foot metal baton and struck him in the left thigh. Soof also suffered scratches to his arms.

Both were transported to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital for treatment, Tolliver said. Upon release, Soof was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, possession of an instrument of crime and related offenses.
