Two teens were apprehended as their victim reported the incident in Bella Vista.
The duo followed a 33-year-old man at 12:07 a.m. Saturday on the 700 block of South Eighth Street, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. When he tried to make a phone call, one teen attempted to take his cell, punched him in the face and knocked him down.
The victim recovered and ran away, Tolliver said. When officers arrived, he spotted the 15-year-olds headed eastbound on the 700 block of Fitzwater Street. When they saw police, they allegedly ran southbound on Seventh Street where officers stopped the teen from the 400 block of Moore Street. Officers then obtained the teen from the 700 block of Mercy Street on the 700 block of Clymer Street.
