The artist simply known as Fabian was actually born Fabian Forte Bonaparte. The Lower Moyamensing native teamed up with fellow neighborhood crooners Frankie Avalon and Bobby Rydell to form the Golden Boys. While the trio has toured together over the decades, each of the artists has recorded individual career merits worthy of induction.

Fabian, who previously secured a 2002 star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, saw his “Fabulous Fabian” honored as a gold album while “Tiger” and “Turn Me Loose” both earned gold record recognition. He also was a regular on “American Bandstand,” making his first of 20 appearances in 1958.

Fabian’s TV career included serving as co-executive producer of the 1993 documentary miniseries “The Wild West,” which was nominated for an Emmy. The former resident of 11th and Shunk streets worked with the likes of Richard Burton and Henry Fonda in “The Longest Day,” as well as James Stewart and Maureen O’Hara in “Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation.”
