Hey, where’s my DJ?

In this closing topic for the 2013 Readers’ Choice Awards, we asked our loyal readers to speak up and vote for the category not on this list. This was the chance to tell us what was missing from this year’s ballot. The funny thing is disk jockey recorded the No. 1 spot in the polls.

Why is this funny? Well, a year ago, DJ was on the ballot, but due to a lack of responses, the selection committee decided to go in a different direction. After reviewing the ballots, it seems that people had a specific tune master, who is not being mentioned, on their minds.

Why not you ask?

Because it’s category not on this list. The voters who campaigned specifically for their favorite DJ know who he is and can start high-fiving the victor. For those scratching their heads wondering who this individual could possibly be, we offer the following clue: He scored a win in a category that is on this list.

Since our readers have spoken, look for DJ on the ’14 Readers’ Choice Ballot.

Best BYOB poured a runner-up nod, while coffee shop, meatballs and zumba all stirred up a conversation for third.
