The Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has increased its reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for dumping the bodies of six dead dogs in South of South (“Tracking the crime,” Feb. 14) last month.

The nonprofit is now offering $5,000 for the information that will help to solve the investigation that began Jan. 30 upon discovery of the deceased pit bulls with extensive wounds in black trash bags on the railroad tracks at 26th Street and Washington Avenue, according to a press release.

To report information, call the group’s anti-cruelty hot line at 866-601-SPCA (7722).
