A Passyunk Square pharmacy was robbed and raided for narcotics.
Two unknown men entered Bertolino’s Pharmacy, 1500 S. 12th St., at 10:37 a.m. Feb. 11, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. One of the men was armed with a silver handgun and ordered everyone, including the location’s 48-year-old owner, to the floor as he and his accomplice stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, prescription drugs and cigarettes before fleeing northbound on 12th.
Five witnesses also were inside the store during the robbery, but no one was injured, Tolliver said.
Police did not release a detailed description of the offenders by press time.
