A woman was taken into custody after a verbal altercation with her boyfriend allegedly turned physical and she threatened to kill the man, police said.

Lydia Rivera-Perez, 30, from the 700 block of Mercy Street, was arrested at the scene and charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, simple assault, possession of an instrument of crime, recklessly endangering another person and terroristic threats.

The suspect allegedly began hitting the 31-year-old victim about the body and head with a pair of sneakers and a closed fist before allegedly grabbing a pair of scissors and stabbing him in the head, threatening to end his life, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said.

The victim suffered a small head wound, as well as bruising to his chest, arms and back, police said. He went to Methodist Hospital in stable condition after the 3:10 a.m. Nov. 20 incident.

Police did not recover the scissors.

Taken at knifepoint

A 25-year-old was roughed up and robbed at the point of a blade early Saturday by three teens in Queen Village.

The trio approached the victim from behind at about 3 a.m. as he walked south on the 700 block of South Second Street near Queen Street, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detectives said. When the victim turned around, one offender pulled out a switchblade, pressed it in his stomach and pushed him against a wall, demanding his money. The victim surrendered his BlackBerry and a wallet containing an unknown amount of cash, credit cards and identification.

Police did not have a value for the smart phone and the trio escaped on foot, going east on Queen towards Columbus Boulevard.

The 25-year-old did not seek medical care for the laceration to his head that occurred when he was thrown against the wall, police said.

The robbers were described as black, ages 14 to 17, about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and in dark-colored hoodies; one had a slender build; another had shoulder-length, braided hair; and another had short black hair.

Moving target

An 18-year-old told police a man walking with two others opened fire on him — for no apparent reason and without saying a word — striking him once in the left knee cap.

The teen was transported via medic to Methodist Hospital in stable condition, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detectives said.

At about 10:35 p.m. Saturday, the man was on the 2000 block of Mildred Street when he saw the trio walking towards him on his side of the street; one pulled a gun and started shooting. The victim ran to the 700 block of Mercy Street, where a friend drove him to Methodist, Tolliver said.

Police have no motive or suspects at this time.

Shot and robbed

While riding his bicycle on the 1600 block of South Mole Street Saturday morning, a 22-year-old took a bullet and lost his loot.

Medic 27 transported the victim to Hahnemann University Hospital in good condition with a gunshot to his left thigh, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detectives said.

Shortly after 10 a.m., the victim was riding in the area of Tasker and Mole streets when he was approached from behind by two men who told him they had marijuana for sale, Tolliver said. At that point, one produced a silver handgun and demanded money, but the victim started pedaling away only to be fired upon. After the man fell from his bike, the muggers took his gold Schwinn and $50 from his pockets. Police did not have a value for the wheels.

The duo fled on foot with the bike in tow, going west on Tasker.

The perpetrators were described as black; the gunman was about age 40, about 5-foot-6 and 190 pounds with a medium build, dark complexion, facial stubble, full lips, a deep voice and wearing a black, hooded sweat shirt, black skull cap, blue jeans and tan boots; his accomplice was about age 17 and about 5-foot-10 with a thin build, medium complexion and wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt and dark skull cap.

Teens charged in mugging

Armed with descriptions of three teens who committed a mugging moments before, officers on patrol nabbed the trio they believed to be responsible.

The accused are two 14-year-olds from the 1200 block of South Bernard Street and 2500 block of South Darien Street, along with a 16-year-old from the 2500 block of South 10th Street. Each was charged with conspiracy, aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, robbery and theft.

Shortly after 4:30 p.m. Nov. 20, the 28-year-old victim was riding his bike on the 1000 block of Oregon Avenue when he encountered the teens, one of whom allegedly struck him on the left side of his face, knocking him off his bike, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detectives said. The teens then allegedly ran south on Ninth Street, taking the bike with them.

At about 4:40 p.m. while on routine patrol in the area of Iseminger and Bigler streets, 4th District cops armed with flash descriptions of three teens and the stolen bike saw the three walking west on Bigler, Tolliver said. One allegedly had an orange bike with the word "intruder" printed on the crossbar, fitting the description of the stolen wheels, Tolliver said.

The victim did not sustain any injuries in the attack and the bike was returned to him.

Screaming in vain

Yelling for his life did not spare a 49-year-old from a strong-arm mugging by four men on the 600 block of South Harmony Street.

The victim was exiting his vehicle at about 10:50 p.m. Nov. 20 when the four converged on him, knocking him to the ground, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detectives said. When the victim began screaming, the thugs told him to shut up or they would do him harm. The offenders then rummaged through the man’s pockets, helping themselves to his wallet that contained $200, credit cards and identification.

Despite scratches and bruises to the left side of his face and neck, the victim did not seek hospital care.

The perpetrators were described as white, one was about 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10 with a husky build and wearing a dark quilted coat and dark skull cap; the second man was about 5-foot-11 to 6 foot with a thin build and wearing a dark jacket and skull cap. The victim was unable to provide descriptions of the other two.

Which way did he go?

Feigning a need for directions, a man produced a handgun and mugged a 56-year-old shortly after midnight Saturday as the latter walked on the 100 block of Pattison Avenue.

The victim was unharmed in the ambush, but in the red $500, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detectives said. After the offender approached the victim head-on and asked where to go, the victim proceeded to give him guidance, only to be confronted by a small black automatic handgun and a demand for money, police said. With the loot, the perpetrator — described as black, age 25 to 30, about 5-foot-6 with a medium build, braids and wearing a black shirt and black pants — took off on foot in an unknown direction.

The victim was not hurt in the violent ruse.
