Donations needed for vet care

The Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society’s Spay/Neuter and Wellness Clinic, 2900 Grays Ferry Ave., is in need of public donations to its Tom’s Fund, which provides free spaying, neutering, and basic vet care for low-income pet owners. PAWS had previously received a $20,000 grant from Tom’s of Maine to begin its free services, but the money is now nearly gone.

The community need for pet care is extremely high, and PAWS receives calls every day asking for help. The clinic has placed a public appeal for funding to continue its service.
