A West Passyunk man succumbed to his injuries after being shot inside an area bar early Saturday.
Mikal Grant, 31, of the 1900 block of South Woodstock Street, received multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and thigh inside Scotty’s Bar, 1420 Ellsworth St., at 1:12 a.m., Officer Jill Russell of the Police Public Affairs Unit said. He was transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was pronounced dead three hours later.
Another man was shot in the leg, Russell said. The 42-year-old was transported to Jefferson in stable condition.
Police did not have a motive or any suspects as of press time.
