Police officers responded to a report of an unidentified person with a gun who allegedly shot a teenager in his leg in Point Breeze Saturday.

At about 11:50 p.m. four shots were fired near 21st and Dickinson streets when a group of young teens scampered into a nearby house, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. A 14-year-old was struck in his calf. A medic transported him in stable condition to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where he was taken to the operating room to undergo surgery.

Police were unable to locate the crime scene and a description of the shooter was not available at press time, Tolliver said.
