"AngelTwo North Philly residents were arrested and charged with nine auto tire thefts that occurred mostly in Queen Village.

Police noticed a 2010 Honda Fit, ’00 Buick Regal and 1998 Honda Civic with four missing tires at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 28 on the 700 block of South Front Street when Angel Echevarria, 18, of the 3000 block of C Street, and Alexander Reyes, 21, of the 4600 block of C Street are believed to have jumped in a ’99 Honda Odyssey and attempted to flee.

Authorities recovered the wheels, hydraulic jacks and other tools from the vehicle.

The respective car owners of six 2009 to ’11 Honda Accords and Fits had reported two to four tires were removed from their vehicles while "Alexanderparked. The thefts ranged from July 25 to Aug. 25 plus the three Sept. 28 and occurred mostly in Queen Village with two sets of wheels taken in Bella Vista and a pair taken from Pennsport.

Both were charged with multiple counts of theft, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief and related offenses. Reyes also violated his probation that stemmed from a ’08 robbery conviction. SPR
