Four masked men tied up the inhabitants of a home in the Newbold/Point Breeze area and took their electronics.

The armed offenders, who were wearing bandanas over their faces, entered through an unlocked door on the 1600 block of South Mole Street at 10:36 p.m. Oct. 9, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said.

Two of the perpetrators kept the residents, a 38-, 40- and 42-year-old man, in the living room while the other pair pillaged the basement and second floor of the home taking a 46-inch flat-screen television, a few cell phones and $30, Tolliver said. One man rummaged through the mail in order to tell someone over the phone their location, and a few minutes later, another man arrived to help to take the gadgets.

The intruders tied the hands of the victims up with computer wires and forced them into the basement before fleeing in an unknown direction, Tolliver said.

No one was injured, Tolliver said. The police recovered fingerprints at the scene.

The suspects were described as black men in their early 20s and wearing all dark-colored clothing with one being 6 foot and thin; having a medium complexion and curly hair; and wearing a dark-colored hoody. The last man to arrive was described as Asian with a light complexion, thin, and wearing a white T-shirt.
