Police are seeking two suspects accused of robbing a South of South Rite Aid.

Two men armed with a black semi-automatic pistol entered Rite Aid, 810 S. Broad St., and demanded the 36-year-old store manager give them money from the register at about 9:15 p.m. Oct. 18, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said.

One set the firearm on the counter while the other served as a lookout, according to surveillance video.

After receiving $230 in cash, they ordered the employee to open the safe behind the counter from which they received $2,000 more, Tolliver said. The duo fled on foot west on Christian Street.

Detectives recovered fingerprints and surveillance video from the store, Tolliver said.

One suspect was described as a Hispanic or Asian man, age 25 to 30, 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-5 and thin; having poor skin and a thin beard; wearing a green cap, a blue hoody and blue jeans; and being armed with a black semi-automatic handgun. The second was described as a black man with a dark complexion, age 30 to 35, 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-1; having a goatee; and wearing a black Phillies hat and a brown hooded jacket featuring a design of a female’s body.
