A man was robbed in Marconi Plaza after exiting the subway Monday.

The 31-year-old exited the Oregon Avenue station of the Broad Street Line, and as he walked through Marconi Plaza on the 2600 block of South Broad Street, a man tugged on his book bag and pulled him to the ground, Detective Tamika Selden of South Detective Division said. When he stood up, three men were standing before him. One man appeared to have a weapon in his hoody pocket while another had a shard of glass in his hand, therefore, the man handed over $75, a debit card to the man holding the sharp object. The trio fled on foot toward Johnston Street.

The man did not seek medical treatment.

Two of the suspects were described as white, ages 20 to 25, 6 foot and having a medium build. The one who is believed to have been armed was wearing a dark-colored hoody with “Eagles” embroidered on the front while the other was wearing a black hoody and dark-colored jeans. The third man, who had a piece of glass, was described as black with a medium complexion, age 35, 6-foot-5, thin and wearing a black Polo sweater with a red collared shirt.
