While driving through Grays Ferry Sunday evening, a man was shot from behind.
Inside his 2003 Chevrolet on the 1200 block of South 35th Street, the 21-year-old heard gunfire and realized he was shot in the back near his left shoulder at 7 p.m., Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. His vehicle was hit multiple times.
When police responded to the scene, he exited a garage and told police he was wounded, Tolliver said. Officers transported him to HUP where he was treated and released.
Police recovered ballistics evidence at the scene, but did not provide a description of the shooter.
