As a woman attempted to bypass a duo on a Newbold/Point Breeze street, the pair mugged her.

The 38-year-old was strolling westbound behind a man and woman on the 1500 block of Morris Street at 6:30 a.m. Dec. 6, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. When she started to pass the pair, the man grabbed her and put a silver handgun to her side and ordered his female companion to take her purse. Both offenders had to wrestle away the bag that contained identification, $500 and a laptop. Once they succeeded, the man pushed her behind a parked car and told her to remain there until they departed.

The man was described as black, age 45 to 50, 5-foot-7, thin and wearing a black jacket while the woman was described as black, age 40 and 5-foot-8; having a heavy build; and wearing a black jacket.
