A teen robbed a woman while crossing a South of South bridge Monday.

The 25-year-old was headed over the South Street Bridge at 12:22 p.m. when an unknown teen pushed her down, swiped her iPad 2 — with blue magnetic cover and “Write something worth reading or do something worth writing” engraved on the back — from her hands, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said.

The woman chased after the man, who hopped in a black sedan — possibly a Pontiac Grand Am — with a spoiler and an unknown Pennsylvania license plate and fled toward the westbound ramp for the Schuylkill Expressway, Tolliver said.

The suspect was described as a black or Hispanic man, age 16 or 17 and 5-foot-7; having a round face; and wearing a dark-colored hoody and gray sweatpants.
